Trust / Society / Individual seeking permission to start an institute should apply in the prescribed application form with all necessary enclosures.
Shifting of the existing institute premises should be done only with the prior approval of CVESD. The approval is valid only for that premises.
The CVESD Courses offered in the institution should be full-time courses. If the management wishes to conduct part-time courses, special permission must be obtained from CVESD Programme Office, Chennai, India.
The following titles are not allowed in the Institute’s Name.

Institutes that run other Certificate, Diploma or Degree Courses should not issue any certificate by merging them with the CVESD courses available in the institute.
The class room / practical work shop should be located in an R.C building or a building with asbestos roof and should have adequate space.
Adequate toilet and urinal/water facilities should be provided.
Proper and adequate ventilation and lighting should be provided in the theory and practical classrooms.
Any advertisement using the Govt. of India Emblem or providing false information to the public without the consent of the CVESD is punishable. such actions will lead to the cancellation of the institute’s approval.
CVESD does not provide any assurance of Government jobs for its courses.
The curriculum recommended and designed by CVESD focuses on gainful employment, including self employment and entrepreneurship development. The skill components of the CVESD programmes are employment-oriented. Certificates issued by the Council for Vocational Education and Skill Education (CVESD) are not recommended for appointments under the State Public Service Commission or the Union Public Service Commission.
Certificates issued by CVESD are widely accepted in Public Sector Undertaking, organisations ,companies and institutions . They are also accepted by multinational organisations and the private sector in India and abroad , subject to the official verification system.
